INNOVATIVE PACKAGING
The North American BU has recently successfully tested and converted most of its customers to a new innovative packaging system for the 500 kg big bag for Ankerharth and Ankerfrit material.
This new packaging includes 3 bags of 500 kgs joined together by a zipper, loaded on a double-faced pallet and covered by shrink-wrap. It allows for the elimination of the cardboard and the steel straps thus bringing a significant waste and handling reduction to our customers. In USA concerns against steel bands are growing and some plants even forbid them due to safety reasons.
During the trials, customers commented positively about the easiness to unwrap the pallet and the minimal waste generated by the new packaging. When lifting one bag, the zipper and side seam separate from the bag underneath without any assistance.
