UN coded Big Bags

What is a UN bag
A UN bag is designed to transport certain types of dangerous goods. A UN bag must meet the strictest requirements of United Nations recommendations, which are manifested in the so-called Orange Book. The Orange Book is the basis of other relevant European and international regulations e.g. ADR / RID / IMDG Code and ICAO-TI.

UN marking
Once a UN bag has passed the tests according to the dangerous goods rules, a UN marking can be allocated. A UN bag should bear a UN marking which should be durable and legible, in conformity with this example: 13H3 / Y /10.03 / A / PA-03 / 12345-Storsackgroup / 5400 / 1000

Quality assurance
This is an important instrument in order to ensure that each manufactured UN bag complies to the specifications and performance standards. All UN bag production facilities shall be checked frequently by third party inspection.
